Sales Questions
How do I order a Garage Plan?
Click on the Order tab in the Website menu and follow the directions to place an order with Paypal for your garage plans. After you have placed an order we will need your garage sketch. You can fax it to us toll free in the U.S. or Canada to 1 (800) 920-7506. You can also scan it then email it to us at
drawings@sketch2plan.com
. We will soon have an online garage drawing application for you to do your drawing.
After I order, how do I get my Garage Plans?
Garage Plan sets are sent to you via email. They are provided in Adobe Acrobat PDF file format at an architectural scale of 1/4" =1'-0". The plan sets will print on either letter, legal or ledger sized paper depending on the size of the plan, so that plans may be printed on standard printers.
How long do I have to wait for my garage plans?.
The average plan completion time for a single floor garage plan is 24 to 48 hours. This varies depending on order volume and our drafting staff availability. When order email delivery times go over 48 hours I add a note to the top of the Order page letting potential customers know before they make their order. Things move along very quickly if we are provided ALL the details needed to draw a plan and we do not have to ask you for more information. 2 story plans may take an extra day depending on staff availability.
What if after getting my garage plans I want to make a few minor changes?
No problem. We allow a one FREE change for minor items such as door and window locations to the sent garage plan. Major changes such as overall dimensions or roof and foundation changes are subject to a $ 14.00 charge.
I'm a Contractor. Can I get a discount ordering multiple garage plans?
Yes. Every fifth garage plan you order will be free . That gets you an overall 20% discount lowering your average single floor garage plan price to $27.20. To get this discount send us an email with your complete 5th/10th/15th order and that garage plan will be processed free outside our online store
Garage Construction Questions
Should I include a concrete stem wall on my garage?
It's up to you. Personally, I like a 8" stem wall. They keep your garage high and dry and they allow you to have a higher inside ceiling using standard length wooden studs.. If your garage is built on flat land, you have a choice, flat slab or stem wall. However if you are on uneven grade and one or more walls will need to be back filled up against your garage then you should choose to have a concrete stem wall that will extend above the ground. Snow melt is also something to consider if you live in a colder climate. They do add a bit more building effort and cost, but are worth it in peace of mind.
Can you customize or change the door or window style on my garage plans?
Sorry. No. There are over 1,000 different door and window styles, many of which we do not have in our CAD programs. The door style is purely cosmetic and will not affect the building of your garage.
